Information Shows Wrong Way Driver Was Drunk

The tragic story of a wrong way driver who killed seven became more confusing with the announcement that driver Diane Schuler was drunk and high on marijuana at the time of the wreck.  Sometime between leaving her family's campsite at 9:30 am on July 26th and 1:30 that afternoon, it appears that Schuler made some decisions that proved fatal.  Investigators are now trying to piece together her actions that day.  Schuler's family has repeatedly denied knowledge of any history of drug or alcohol abuse, but the families of the victims in the S.U.V. she collided with feel differently.  They are convinced that friends and family must have known something.  Lawyers for that family hope to hold any relative with knowledge of Schuler's condition liable for the accident.  Investigators have found nothing in Schuler's personal life indicating stress or anxiety which may explain the toxicology report's findings.  As more facts arise, evidence pointing to shared liablility among her family may arise as well.  Until then, investigators simply hope to figure out exactly what happened that day.  Unfortunately, at Kaufman Law, P.C. we see too many families harmed or even destroyed by the unthinking negligence of others.  If you or a loved one has been injured through the fault of another, please call our office at at 1-888-973-2540 to schedule a free consultation.
