Mother and Baby Saved Before Train Hit Van

On Monday in Elm Grove, Wisconsina freight train collided with a minivan. The van was stuck on the train tracks as the train approached the intersection.  A policeman was able to help the male passenger pull his wife  from the vehicle before the impact.  The couple's infant was still inside the vehicle as the 94 car train collided with it, knocking the van into the two men.  Fortunately, the infant remained unharmed, though the officer and the father were both seriously injured.
