Pedestrian Hit Twice and Killed

A 26 year old pedestrian attempting to cross Moreland Avenue near I-285 was hit first by a Dodge Avenger, and - moments later - by a Mustang.  DeKalb Police have ruled the death a tragic accident.  The police department spokesperson noted the area did not have a proper crosswalk and was poorly lit.  He stopped short, however, of saying these deficiencies contributed to the pedestrian death.  Even if criminal charges are not issued, the family should consider consulting an Atlanta wrongful death attorney  or an Atlanta personal injury Attorney to see if either driver or the city has some liability for the tragic death of their loved one.
