Tom Glavine Resting Rotator Cuff Strain

Braves pitcher Tom Glavine has been diagnosed with a strained roator cuff and is resting his shoulder in the hope of returning to the Braves this season.  Fortunately, the MRI performed did not show any a torn rotator cuff, which likely would require surgery.

Many victims of negligence strain or tear their rotator cuffs.  Most often, this type of injury is seen when one is hurt on the job, but it also occurs in car wrecks, truck wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, and slip and falls.  Oddly enough, the insurance industry recognizes this type of injury and its effects for sports stars, but not for injured workers and accident victims.
